Born out of a need to kick against pandemic-fueled claustrophobia and end-is-nigh angst, MO7S just wants you to dance. A Seattle-based wife and husband duo, MO7S has alexbetty, who is the writer/producer/vocalist, and Joey Lazerhead, the bassist from PNW heroes The Beautiful Mothers. The music has its roots in the electro-industrial dance clubs of late 80s/early 90s Cleveland, with plenty of electronic music layers, inside-joke samples, and haunted vocals, paired with the analog crunch and jangle of Joey’s bass guitar. The music begs to be cranked in your living room, with your home mirror ball and disco lights whirling, or blaring in your headphones as you go for a panic-reducing midnight speedwalk.
