Mastermind Eric Balaban has assembled an oft-rotating cast to churn out his prolific song writing. Based in Seattle, Washington, The Second Academy rises from the still smoldering ashes of highly lauded Northwest rockers The Beautiful Mothers. It is Eric’s goal to expand on the roots of the Mothers’ furious and pounding sound, adding to it a new, more versatile soundscape.
